Safety is a top priority - so we’ve created policies and procedures to ensure your safety.

Staff Verification

When looking for staff, we choose quality people. Before working with Sparrow, all employees are verified with an NDIS Worker Screening check, First Aid and CPR, Qualifications Checks and Referees.

Incident Response

In order to keep our community safe, we’ve developed an incident management system. Our staff are trained to recognise and respond to incidents in line with the NDIS Quality and Safegards Commission.

Training

Part of our commitment to equipping staff is offering ongoing training and professional development. They complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Sparrow Safeguard Training and professional development in the Mental Health space.

Reporting

Clients and staff can report incidents either via phone or with our incident response form on our app or website.

Timely Feedback

Our staff can instantly report on any specific session they have had with a client, noting concerns, observations or issues.

Monitoring

We monitor incident reports and respond within 5 hours. We work with you to resolve incidents and find ways to better our practices.

Regular Checkin’s

We have a system of regularly checking in with clients, their family and key carers, allowing candid feedback and suggestions.

Community Portal

This portal contains information regarding your services with us, our policies and procedures and how you can offer feedback or make complaints. You will need your participant/staff password. Please contact us if you don’t have this.
